Car Insurance Suzuki (Car Insurance). what engine would give my car best acceleration?

what engine would give my car best acceleration? i have a 1973 chevy nova with a 350 in it. what different engine would be good to make it just take off as soon as i touch the pedal. also i don't want it to be that expensive. thanks.

Whats wrong with a 350? You can do a top end part swap (cam, heads, intake, exhaust) and have a 380-400 HP engine for less than $1000 350 blown to a 383 stroker. You go zoom! install a chevy big block engine. that 350 will do it,if you modify it Chevrolet makes two versions of a 383. The older one of the two has a bore of 4.030 and 3.750 stroke. The newer one has a bore of 4.000 and a stroke of 3.800. Careful carburetor, intake manifold, cylinder head and camshaft selection will make very close to 500 hp. Big blocks are heavy if you don't have aluminum cylinder heads. The rotating mass inside a big block is also heavy.

Suzuki . Faulty TPS or transmission rebuild?

Faulty TPS or transmission rebuild? 1984 Toyota Supra, straight 6, 5mge, auto 4spd overdrive, 294,xxx miles My car has been having problems. I thought it was the transmission but I have read that a faulty TPS can cause the following symptoms. If the car is stopped, and I "floor" the gas pedal, it won't take off. It'll start off in what seems, 2nd gear, climb speed and eventually kick down to first gear for the remainder of the gear, then shifts to 2nd, and early shifts into 3rd. LOL Also my kick down won't work except from 4th to 3rd. Now if I put the gear shifter into first gear myself then it'll take off if i floor it, but once i pop it into second gear, it'll still early shift to 3rd. also sometimes my car doesn't shift into over drive.. specially when it's cold. i know i need a new car.. but i like this one too(: aside from all the bs it's running and pretty reliable car insurance.

Suzuki . Suspension squeak for a Nissan Sentra?

Suspension squeak for a Nissan Sentra? My 2005 nissan sentra has been making a squeak everytime I go over small bumps and cracks. It is coming from the front of the car, and the sound can be made if you push down hard enough on the hood. However, the sound disappears when it rains, so I believe something needs to be greased or oiled. I did find a thread on a website about how to possibly fix this problem however it's for a pontiac grand am. This thread says "Look at the 2 shock towers under the hood over each front wheel (Not in the wheel well). Don't just spray the bolts, look down in the opening, you will see 6 little holes down inside but around the outside of the circle that surrounds the bolt. Spray for about 1-2 seconds per hole." So I was wondering if anyone knew where I would find the spot I need to spray some lithium grease on my sentra. I have an idea of where I need to spray but I do not see any type of openings within the spot. Any advice would be great, thanks! Also if anyone has an idea of how much it costs to replace a v belt or serpentine belt at a mechanics would be great! car insurance.

Suzuki . How to Repair Tires & Wheels

A vehicle's wheel comprise two sections. These are the steel belted radial and a metallic rim. The occasional pothole, nail, large rock, or other hazard can cause damage to one or both sections of the wheel. The damage your wheel incurs can be a bent lip on the rim or a rupture in the tire. Rims that are only bent can be repaired. A cracked rim needs to be replaced due to safety concerns. A tire with a tear longer than a quarter inch also needs to be replaced.
Difficulty:Moderately Challenging
Instructions Things You'll Need
Hammer or rim straightener
Tire plug and patch
Tire liquid cement
Pre-buffer solution
Hand scraper
Hand-held drill
1/4-inch drill bit
Pliers
Wire cutters
Stitcher
2 pry bars
Spray bottle with window cleaner
Valve core removal tool
RagsRemove the tire.

Step by Step :
1
Remove the valve core to release air pressure in the tire using a valve core removal tool.
2
Break the bead seal by placing a pry bar between the bead and the lip of the rim and applying substantial downward pressure. Push the bead away from the lip around the circumference of both sides of the tire.
3
Place the tip of a pry bar beneath the bead and pull the pry bar lengthwise across the rim pulling the bead over the lip of the rim. Place the second pry bar similarly a few inches away. Work the second pry bar around the circumference of the rim holding the first steady until the bead is fully disengaged. Repeat for the lower bead without turning the rim over.
4
Repair the rim. Use a hammer to carefully beat the lip back into shape. Rim straighteners are available for purchase at most auto parts retailers. The straightener allows you to pull the lip back into shape without having to hammer at it.
5
Mount the repaired tire back onto the rim. Spray the bead with window cleaner and lean it against the rim. Use a rocking, circular motion to apply force to the tire forcing the lower bead over the rim. Place a pry bar beneath the lip of the rim and pull it down and outward pushing the outer bead beneath the lip. Place a second pry bar similarly a few inches away and work the bead down until it is beneath the lip around the whole circumference.
6
Stand the tire up and lean on the top to apply inward pressure. Apply outward pressure to seat the bead by airing the tire up with an air pump. Make sure no loose articles or appendages are near the bead while seating it. Air the tire up to factory specifications and test the repairs by spraying the repaired areas with window cleaner. Watch for bubbles, which reveal that air is escaping. This indicates a failed repair. Repeat the process or replace the tire if the repair does not hold.
Tire Repair

Step by Step :
1
Remove the cause of the hole in the tire and drill out the hole using the drill and 1/4-inch drill bit.
2
Apply some pre-buffer solution to the area around the hole along the inner lining of the tire. Use a hand scraper to clean the area and some rags to remove the liquid and debris.
3
Insert a plug into the hole and pull it through using pliers. Snip the plug flush with the inside and outside surfaces of the tire.
4
Apply a thin layer of liquid cement for tires to the surface of the inner lining of the tire around the plug. Allow it to dry for two minutes and apply a patch over the plug. Use a stitcher (rolling tool with dull teeth) to press the patch into place.
Tips & Warnings
You can affect similar repairs using a plug kit and hammer. With this process you will not have to remove the tire from the rim. The problem with this method is, however, that you risk damaging the wheel further. The method outlined in this article is the one used by professionals and is the safest.

Suzuki . How to Repair Truck Tires

Tires are a combination of steel and nylon sealed within rubber through vulcanization. Passenger tires typically use four plies or layers of nylon and rubber within the sidewalls of the tire. Truck tires use between six and 10 plies creating a sturdier sidewall for use on areas of rough terrain. The heavier tire withstands more damage, but nothing stops a nail from punching through a tire. Repairing truck tires follows the same process as repairing a passenger tire. You clean the area, apply a plug and patch, and replace the tire.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Jack
Lug wrench
Tire plug and patch
Tire liquid cement
Pre-buffer solution
Hand scraper
Hand-held drill
1/4-inch drill bit
Pliers
Wire cutters
Stitcher
2 pry bars
Spray bottle with window cleaner
Valve core removal tool
RagsDismount and Mount the Tire

Step by Step :
1
Remove the tire from the vehicle. Raise the wheel up with a jack beneath the axle, and remove the lug nuts using a lug wrench. Set the lug nuts to the side. Remove the valve core with a valve core removal tool and release all the air pressure.
2
Break the seal the bead has with the rim by placing a pry bar between the bead and rim and applying substantial downward pressure. Repeat around the circumference of the rim for both sides until the bead is fully dislodged from lip of the rim.
3
Place the tip of a pry bar beneath the bead and pull the pry bar down and across the width of the rim pulling the bead over the lip. Repeat with a second pry bar a few inches away. Push the second pry bar around the circumference of the rim until the bead is fully removed from the rim. Repeat the same process for the lower bead without turning the rim over.
4
Once the tire is repaired, spray the bead of the tire with window cleaner and lean it against the rim. Apply pressure in a circular rocking motion to get the lower bead to pop over the lip of the rim. You may have to use a pry bar placed under the lip of the rim and pushed outward to get the bead over the lip.
5
Place a pry bar beneath the lip of the rim and push the outer bead over the lip. Place a second pry bar a few inches away in the same manner and move the second pry bar around the circumference of the rim until the bead is back on the rim. Air the tire up using an air pump.
6
Replace the tire onto the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts down. Lower the vehicle slowly, and then tighten the lug nuts with a lug wrench until they are at factory-recommended torque.
Repair the Flat

Step by Step :
1
Remove the cause of the hole (nail, screw, etc.) using pliers. Clean out the hole using a drill with a 1/4-inch drill bit.
2
Apply some pre-buffer solution to the inner lining of the tire and scrape the area clean with a hand-scraper. Wipe up any remaining liquid and debris with a rag.
3
Insert a plug into the hole and pull it through using pliers. Snip the plug flush with the inner and outer surfaces of the tire with wire cutters.
4
Apply a thin layer of liquid tire cement to the area surrounding the plug. Allow it to dry for two minutes, and then place a patch over the area. Use a stitcher (a rolling tool with dull teeth) to firmly press the patch into place. Allow the area to set for a few minutes, and mount the tire onto the rim.

I\ s you work on your vehicle, you'll get to know it better. Before long, . \ you'll become more sensitive to its signals. If something sounds funny or smells funny or just doesn't feel right, you'll soon sense it. This can help you forestall expensive repairs, because you'll be able to prevent trouble or catch it before it becomes a major problem. This chapter shows you how to use your eyes, ears, and nose to sense automotive symptoms, and how to deal with those symptoms. The words in special type are defined in the Practical Glossary of Automotive Terms at the end of this book. Sounds You probably know how your vehicle sounds when it's running properly, and your ears can alert you to anything that sounds strange. Well, listen to your ears! If you hear a strange or different sound, pay attention to it and react accordingly. Part '^: Dealing with On-the-Road Emergencies v0 If a fan belt or accessory belt "sings" (makes a continuous, high-pitched sound), readjust or replace it. These belts should have at least half an inch of play and shouldn't be frayed, cracked, or glazed on the underside. Some belts tend to sing more than others. Rubbing a bit of petroleum jelly on the undersides of these belts usually quiets them down. You can find instructions for adjusting and replacing belts in Chapter 14. Don't drive with a broken fan belt. If you carry a spare belt or an old belt in the trunk, you may be able to save yourself towing charges. v* If your radiator "sings" (similar sound, different tune), check the radiator pressure cap. The rubber gasket may be worn, and steam from the hot engine may be escaping past it. Chapter 14 tells you how to remove a radiator cap safely. *^ If your tires squeal on curves — and you aren't speeding — check their inflation pressure, treads, and alignment by using the instructions in Chapter 19. 922 Car Insurance pontiac sunfire 1999 sesedan4d 146300

e" If you hear a whining or humming sounds on curves, your wheel bearings may be wearing. Chapter 18 turns you on to the sensual thrill of repacking them with your bare hands. *> If your tires "tramp" (make a weird, rhythmic sound as you drive), check inflation, tire wear, and wheel balancing (see Chapter 18). v0 If you hear squealing when you step on the brake, you've probably worn the brake pads down too far. Get them replaced immediately. Some disc brakes are naturally noisy, but if the sound gets louder, take heed. j> If something ticks rhythmically while your engine idles, shut off the engine, wait ten minutes, and then check the oil level. The hydraulic lifters that operate the valves in your engine can make these noises if you're down as little as a quart of oil. If the level is low, add oil up to the "Full" line on the dipstick and check again in a couple of days. If you have enough oil, have a mechanic check the valve adjustment if your car has adjustable valves (some don't). Faulty valves can seriously affect your car's performance and fuel consumption. e* If you hear a loud knocking sound in your engine, pull to the side of the road immediately and call for road service. It may be just a loose rocker arm or carbon buildup inside the engine, but if it's a loose bearing or a faulty piston, letting it go unheeded can destroy the whole engine. Mild knocking or "pinging" may be the result of using fuel with the wrong octane rating. Check your owner's manual to see whether your vehicle needs low-octane or premium gas. . your engine is dieseling. This condition is often due to using fuel with too high an octane rating, but a tank of inferior gas or an idle speed that's set to high may also be the culprit. * If you hear rumbling noises coming from under or toward the rear of the vehicle, the trouble could be a defective exhaust pipe, muffler, or catalytic converter; or it could be coming from a worn universal joint or some other part of the drive train. Have a service facility put the car up on a hoist and find the problem. If you hear clunking under your vehicle, especially when you go over a bump, check the shock absorbers and suspension system. If it's toward the rear, your tailpipe or muffler may be loose. * If you hear a whistling noise coming from under the hood, check the hoses for vacuum leaks. If the whistling comes from inside the vehicle, there's probably a leak in the weather-stripping. Patch the weather-
